When this has happened, the tenancy agreement does not actually end, but leaves (provided the tenants do not move) at regular intervals, as stipulated in the agreement. Normally, this is for a periodic monthly rent. If your temporary rent has a break clause, you must get all tenants to agree to the termination of the lease, unless your agreement says otherwise. The person terminating the contract must use the correct form and meet the corresponding notice period. If only one tenant is mentioned in a tenancy agreement and they die, the tenancy agreement ends on one of the following dates (according to the earliest date).

This also applies to fixed-term leases: you do not have the legal right to stay in a property at the end of the rental period. However, your landlord cannot dislodge you without following proper procedure. Don`t terminate your lease because your landlord isn`t doing what he should – for example, if he doesn`t make repairs.
